October, 16 through 18 there was a three-day re-Encounter retreat for girls at our church building. It was a special time for each girl that took part in it. They had a great opportunity to spend time far from the city fuss, in great living conditions, in atmosphere of the Holy Spirit, focusing on God.
We started Encounters in spring of 2004. Every time retreats help its participants to renew their relationship with God, to refresh first love and draw closer to God, to look at themselves through the eyes of God and to accept His love.
Topics of the encounter are selected the way they cover all areas of life that need God’s touch and healing. They include correct self estimation, emotional healing, and victory in spiritual realm. One of the main purposes of the encounter is to receive and renew vision for fruitful ministry of the participants. Topics like irreproachability and ethics of a minister, responsibility of a Christian, dedication of a leader help to achieve it.
During the encounter importance of the serious dedication to the ministry, the Great Commission (Mathew 28:19-20) and accomplishment of God’s was greatly emphasized.
God’s presence was real during praise and worship.
At the end of the retreat all the sisters shared their testimonies and wrote words of gratitude for all that God had done during the encounter for each one of them.
